The Collin College Green Zone

Military Friendly Area of Operation

Green Zone

Military and veteran students often face unique challenges or concerns when transitioning from military life to college or civilian life. The Green Zone program was created so Collin College staff and faculty might gain an increased awareness and education of military culture and veterans trying to re-acclimate to civilian and college life.

Wherever you see a Green Zone sticker outside an office, classroom, and/or on a syllabus, you’ve found an official Green Zone – a place where student veterans can go for guidance, assistance and understanding. This not only helps faculty and staff provide supportive services necessary to ensure that military-connected students are successful in their academic pursuits, but it is just another way Collin College wants to be supportive of those who have sacrificed so much for others.

Thank you for your Service!
